My Favorite Stuff from 2007

I don't like it when people say "Best of 2007" etc. Like they would know. Nobody listened to everything. So this is more like "best of what i heard in 2007." Not such a bad year for music, really. Several albums were serious contenders for best of the year. In the end I went with Panda Bear’s “Person Pitch” as the best of the bunch. It’s the one that was most rewarding to me upon multiple listens.

Lots of old favorites offered up solid new records and a few new bands made their mark. If you were willing to look there was plenty of stuff to keep your attention. In a world of “indie-rock” car commercial jingles and disposable downloads, here is what we call the real deal. These are records that are worth your time. Have yourself a nice little sit down with these and really absorb the music. Not enough people do that anymore, y’know.

I'm gonna try and post some of my favorite songs of the year in "the jam" section if i can figure it out. Damn this crazy technology. Ben must feel like he accidentally asked somebody's grandpa to do this thing.
